Thank you enough for your kindness & compassion today. You made a very awful day more than bearable. It’s like we’ve always known you.
We could not have asked for a better end for D. & we really can not thank you enough.  DC, Aug 2024

Shelagh is incredibly knowledgeable and was sensitive to the needs of my old, arthritic dog. The acupuncture worked really well and I will definitely be going back for more treatment.  JM, July 2024

There's no getting away from the pain of losing a pet, but boy did it help to have Shelagh. My boy was so frightened of the vets all his life that I spent a lot of time worrying about how the end would happen. The end happened with him aged 14 falling asleep under a tree in our garden with no stress, no worry, just utter peace. Shelagh has the perfect mix of professionalism and compassion. It was enormously comforting then and still is to know what a long life and peaceful goodbye he had.  Jane, June 2024

Very pleased with how Shelagh interacted with our dog Penny who is a nervous Labrador. She put her at ease straight away which made the experience comfortable for her and made it easier to assess her osteoarthritis. And she was able to administer acupuncture needles with ease.
Highly recommended.  Lynn May 2024

I took my elderly dog to see Shelagh as she has recently got very stiff through her back and hips.
Throughout the whole visit Shelagh was extremely respectful to my little princess and set the standard for all professionals who handle canines...or any animals for that matter. My dog was relaxed and happy and even fell asleep on the comfy duvet at one point. Shelagh is very knowledgeable and friendly, easy to chat to and provides a very high level of service.I trust her with my dog and that is not something that I am known to say very often.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants a one on one personal service without the chaotic, stressful environment of a conventional vets and healing effective natural treatments.

Changed mine and my dogs' lives. Buddy was diagnosed with CKD and I was told there was nothing more that could be done to help him. He looked awfully thin (4.7kg, instead of his usual weight of 5.2kg) and was peeing in the house constantly. I was told that I should just accept this as part of the disease.
Then I met Shelagh. I could make this really long-winded so, to cut the chase, Buddy has now gained weight (from 4.8kg, now back to his normal 5.2 kg after just a few weeks), looks amazing and is peeing in the house about once a day instead of the usual 5 times. A combination of a raw diet (as discussed with Shelagh to make sure he was getting the appropriate nutrition), acupuncture (through which we also established he had a sore back and hips), and a herbal tincture to specifically meet his needs, has WORKED WONDERS.
Arlo, who comes along for the attention, has also benefited from being on a raw diet and gets very involved during our appointments.
Buddy was found as a stray on the streets of Brighton at a very young age. As a result, he had immense trust issues and, whilst he was OK with people whom he had known for some time, he was very wary of being handled by strangers. Vets were a big no-no for him and a muzzle has always been required. He would scream (literally) the Veterinary Practice down!
With Shelagh, he happily sits with her and observes what she is doing, as well as relaxes to have his acupuncture. Amazing!
I can't recommend Shelagh highly enough.. we can't cure Buddy but I hope he has a good amount of time to go yet. And we will know that whatever time he does have will be spent under the best care and with fantastic support, as well as a superb diet.

As the owner of an elderly arthritic dog, I have found Vetacupuncture to be a real revelation. We have been working together for a number of months now to provide my dog with the best quality of life we can, and he is definitely a happier dog for it. I feel that the benefits of sessions at Vetacupuncture to pet owners should not be underestimated. As a result of our discussions and the range of information shared, I now feel far more informed and confident with regard both to understanding how to best look after my dog on a daily basis, and to taking decisions regarding medications etc. to help him live his best life. It's definitely been a 'Win Win' for me and my dog.  Clare with Eddie.

My 2 year old cat Sumo was diagnosed with triaditis and was struggling with liver and bowel inflammation; he lost a lot of weight and muscle tone in his legs and was struggling to even jumped onto the bed. And he also always looked like he was in discomfort after eating. He was on conventional medicines for a month and wasn't improving a lot. Thankfully I found Shelagh after doing some research and with her help Sumo is now doing a lot better. He was more relaxed and mobile after the first session of acupuncture straight away and was even able to jump onto the kitchen counter the next day! Shelagh was very knowledgable and had so much patience with Sumo, she gave a lot of advice on nutrition, and the use of herbal medicine to help with healing. Sumo has now finished his 4 sessions of treatment and he has improved so much he is almost back to his full self prior to getting ill. Obviously the medicines he's on is working better for him now but I have no doubt that these 4 sessions has helped immensely with his improvement. Thank you for your help Shelagh!

My three golden retrievers have been seeing Holistic Vet Norfolk for some time now for Shelagh's excellent support with their arthritic and neurological change. This has included acupuncture, herbal medicine and invaluable advice about identifying and managing the range of health problems they face. They are benefitting hugely from this - the acupuncture is most definitely helping to address their arthritic pain as part of a multi-modal approach and I have noticed lovely improvement in their comfort levels, physical abilities and general demeanours. Hugo, who is almost 13, is now doing things he appeared unable to do six months ago!
I can't recommend Holistic Vet Norfolk highly enough - Shelagh has really got to know my dogs well and works alongside their regular vet, physiotherapist, hydrotherapist and myself to ensure longer term quality of life for Lucie, Hugo and Charlie.

Shelagh came to our house with very short notice, she said good bye to our dearly beloved 15 year old Labrador with the peace and dignity that she deserved could not have asked for a better farewell. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.
